Norman Klauder, Jr., age 79, of South Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Bert Fish Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Klauder moved to the area in 1983 from his birthplace. He served in the United States Army, 11th Airborne Division, during WWII, then earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami. A financial advisor, Mr. Klauder retired as Vice President of Merrill Lynch, Philadelphia. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach, the Southeast Volusia Historical Society and a former member of Spruce Creek Country Club. Norman enjoyed golfing, walking the beach and with his wife, Lois, was a world traveler.
Along with Lois, he is survived by 2 sons, Mark Douglas Klauder of Inverness, Florida and N. Jeffrey Klauder of Lower Gwynedd, Pa.; a daughter, Pamela Klauder Spatola of Babylon, New York; a sister, Helen Bohs of New Smyrna Beach; a brother, George Klauder of Harleysville, Pa.; and 9 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of his Life will be 11:00 a.m.,Wednesday, at the First United Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach, with Pastor Don Bremer, officiating.
