Funeral service for Claudia Mae Hull, age 83, of Cocoa, who died Friday, July 29, 2011 at Wuesthoff Hospice House, Rockledge, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 1 at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Oak Hill. Calling hours will be 5:00-7:00 p.m Sunday, July 31 at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach Chapel.
Born in Soperton, Georgia, Mrs. Hull, a former preschool teacher, was a life-long Oak Hill resident. Teaching for 15 years in Oak Hill, she was always a caring person who loved to help others, enjoyed skating and bowling, and especially fishing.
Survivors include 1 brother, Roy Gillis and his wife Pam of Dublin, Georgia; 4 sisters, Betty Hall and her husband Nat of Port St. John, Florida, Delores Estes and her husband Randall of Dublin, Jeannette Gillis of Dublin, and Ann Osborne and her husband David of Savannah, Georgia; 1 niece, Marsha, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and 1 cousin, Jack Gillis of Edgewater. Mrs. Hull was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy in 2004, and her husband of 47 years, Ray Hull.
