Carl Wesley Holcomb was born September 14, 1921 and died June 29, 2012 at the age of 90.

Carl was the son of Reverend Bert & Roberta Holcomb. His wife Elle preceded him in death October, 2011 after 65 years of marriage. Carl was a Staff Sgt in the U.S. Army. Carl graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in civil engineering. He worked for United States Steel in Hannibal, Mo. and Pittsburgh PA until his retirement in 1982 when they moved to New Smyrna Beach FL.

Carl was an avid golfer until his health hindered his golf game. Carl served as a volunteer at the New Smyrna Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Coronado Methodist Church.

Carl is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday July 3,2012 at Coronado Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach with Associate Pastor Anil Singh officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Coronado Methodist Church 201 S. Peninsula Ave. New Smyrna Beach FL 32169.
