Cipriano V. Rivera

Cipriano V. Rivera “Spring”, age 88, of Edgewater, died Sunday, October1, 2017at his residence. Born in the Philippines, Mr. Rivera was a marine engineer with the US Government.  He came to this area in 1994.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Later in life he attended St. Gerard’s Catholic Church. He loved fishing, fishing and more fishing, Cipriano enjoyed the beach and watching football, but most of all he loved his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include seven daughters, Leonora (Marciano) Boongaling; Leticia Domingo, Yolanda (Ninoy) Gravidez, Myrna (Jim Santoro) Rivera, Marissa (Arturo) Cansino, Purisima Rivera Bucheli, and Imelda Rivera; a son, Rolando (Ada) Rivera; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 14, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Redemptorist Fathers officiating. Interment will follow in Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Calling hours will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. & 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach.
