Dylan S. Devane, 24, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, in St. Cloud, Florida.  He was born on June 30, 1992, in Longwood, Florida, to Wanda Rakestraw and Scott Devane.
 
Dylan graduated from Pine Ridge High School in Deltona, Florida, in 2010.
  
Corporal Devane faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps and performed duties as a Rifleman with having National Security Clearance In addition to numerous stateside assignments, Corporal Devane served overseas assignments in South Korea, Okinawa, Japan, and Embassy Duty in Yemen.

Upon completion of his service, Corporal Devane received an Honorable Discharge and, during his time in service, was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Letter of Appreciation, Meritorious Mast, Sharpshooter Rifle Qualification Badge, and a Marksmanship Pistol Qualification Badge.

Dylan was predeceased by his brother, Christopher Rakestraw, and grandfathers William Rakestraw and Dee Devane.
 
In addition to his parents, Dylan is survived by his brother, Jimmy Hogancamp, grandmother Constance Rakestraw, Aunt Carol Greene and Uncle Donny Greene, Aunt Linda Williams, Uncle John Rakestraw, Aunt Teresa Devane and Uncle Greg Devane, cousins Chelsea Brown, Mandy Greene, Donald Greene, Jr., Lauren Williams, and all of his brothers of UnitedStates Marine Corps 2/9 Fox Company.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Friday July 7, 2017 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, 406 S. Orange Street, New Smyrna Beach with Todd Denoyer officiating. Family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until time of service and has asked everyone dress in Friday red attire. Funeral procession will be escorted to Cape Canaveral National Cemetery by the Patriot Guard Riders and Volusia County Sheriffs Department.


Military honors will be conducted graveside by United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
