Dale Medders

Dale Medders, age 58, of Edgewater, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Osceola Regional Medical Center, Kissimmee.

Born in Daytona Beach, Mr. Medders was a life-long resident of this area. He loved working, mud bogging, ATVs, fishing, and camping. The owner and operator of Dale’s Aluminum for many years, Dale had a very selfless heart and paid forward before paying forward was cool, as he encouraged everyone to do. Dale’s life was focused on giving and caring for his family, friends and strangers. His final act of generosity was carried out through organ donation. He gives in death as he gave in life and leaves us all forever changed by his smile and laugh.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Cindy; son, Joseph “Joey” (Jennifer) Medders of Lake Helen; step-daughter, Megan (Robert) Brown of New Smyrna Beach; granddaughter, Camdin Brown of New Smyrna Beach; brother, Kenneth Medders of Alaska; sister, Retha Medders of Edgewater; mother, Leona Medders of Port Orange; and many nieces and nephews. Dale also leaves behind his beloved dog, Lily, who he called, “Princess”.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Pastor Desmond Strydom, Graceway Bible Church, officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, at the funeral home.
