Easter Webb Obituary
Deaconess Easter L. Webb, age 84, of New Smyrna Beach, was called home to be with her Lord on March 24, 2018 at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Easter was born April 15, 1933 in New Smyrna Beach to Rhoda and Jessie Moten.
Easter was a longtime member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, New Smyrna Allen Chapel A.M.E. where she served as Deaconess, member of Stewardess Board, a member of the choir and Sunday School teacher.
For many years, Easter worked in the home of Dr. Barber Rogers and was a custodian for the Volusia County School System. She loved to cook, decorate her home, gardening and most of all loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Johnnie Webb; a son, George Willie Poole, Jr.; a daughter, Linda Jackson both of New Smyrna Beach; sisters, Jessie Moten and Evelyn Smith; grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, 344 Sheldon Street, New Smyrna Beach with the Reverend Jeffrey Dove, officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery, Edgewater.
