Elizabeth Wreckter

Elizabeth Wreckter, age 91, of Edgewater, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at her residence.  

Born in New York City, New York, Mrs. Wreckter, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1988 from Jamesburg, New Jersey.  She was a wonderful mother who always had a homemade birthday cake for her children, and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her grandchildren.  Mrs. Wreckter loved bingo, collecting frogs and playing bunco.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. 

Survivors include 4 daughters, Lorraine (Bill) Arthur of Edgewater, Gloria Grosso of Monroe Township, New Jersey, Jane Conroy of New Smyrna Beach, and Nancy (Kenny) Schock of Woodbridge, New Jersey; 1 granddaughter, Jennifer (Justin) Boardman; 4 grandsons, David Anderson, Daniel Rastall, Ryan Conroy and Phillip Heckendorf; 3 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson, David Anderson and Melody Rastall; 1 brother, Ray (Sylvia) Klett; 1 step-sister, Jessie; and many nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Wreckter was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George; 1 granddaughter, Kristie Anderson; and 2 brothers, Alfred Ambrose and Paul Klett.

Calling hours will be 3:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, October 9 at Settle Wilder’s Chapel, New Smyrna Beach.  Graveside funeral service will be 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 10 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater.
