Frank W. Conrey

Frank W. Conrey, age 69, of Edgewater, died Friday, December 22 at home.  Born in Knoxville, Iowa, Mr. Conrey was a lifelong resident of this area.

An electrician by trade, Mr. Conrey was a City of Edgewater building inspector for 25 years.  Prior to that he was a member of Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 756, worked for Economy Electric, and also worked as an electrician at Cape Canaveral.   A 1966 graduate of Mainland High School, he recently enjoyed his 50 year reunion.  He was also veteran of the U.S. Army.  Yard work, fishing, camping, word puzzles and his cap were things he most enjoyed.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nancy; a son, Todd Conrey of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; two daughters, Crystal (Tim) Winn of Delray Beach, Florida, and Trina (William) Medlock of Marion, Iowa; seven grandsons, Tyler, Tanner, Andrew, Trevor, John, Tayden, and David; four granddaughters, Ashley, Tiara, Emma, and Lauren; three brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.  He has one grandson on the way.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and a sister.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 29 at Settle-Wilder Chapel, with Chaplain Andrew Pollock officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28.
