Frank Meissner

Frank Meissner, age 79, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Smyrna West Assisted Living Facility.

Born in 1938 in Newton, New Jersey to Frank and Marie Kurz Meissner, Mr. Meissner came to this area in 2001 from Orlando. Having served in the United States Air Force, he later became an aircraft mechanic. He could fix and enjoyed building just about everything. Frank attended Atlantic Coast Church and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Wanda; son, Chad (Huiyu) Meissner of Orlando; daughter, Christina Meissner of Orlando; brother, Robert of Jamestown, New York; two grandchildren, Erik Meissner of Orlando and Ziwen Quan of Orlando; and father-in-law, Winfred of New Smyrna Beach. 

Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with the Reverend Donald Shobert, Beachside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will take place immediately after the service at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
