Geraldine Bissonnette

Geraldine Bissonnette, age 72, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at her residence. 

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Daniel and Alyce Merrick McGregor, Mrs. Bissonnette came to this area in 2005, from South Portland, Maine. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, worked on the Donald Trump Election Committee, and owned Standardbred horses. Geraldine loved her football teams, the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots, was a big Boston Red Sox fan, and was an Elvis “super fan”. Mrs. Bissonnette enjoyed the beach, had a green thumb, and was a fantastic cook. A devoted mother, Gigi, and great-Gigi; she will be sorely missed by her loving family.

Survivors include her two sons, Wayne, of Portland, ME and Mark (Ginny), of Windermere; daughter, Debbie Lamb, of Yulee, FL; grandchildren, Andy, Chelsea, Bella, Lily, Luke, April, Chris, Eddie, and Katarina; great-grandchildren, Regan, Riley, and Aiden; sister, Carol Burkhart, of New Smyrna Beach; nieces, Kelly (Jason) Spreng, of Uncasville, CT, Holly McGregor, of Colchester, CT, and Julie Kozlowski, of CT. She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Yves; her parents; son, James; and brother, Daniel McGregor.

Memorial donation in Mrs. Bissonnette’s name are suggested to the American Cancer Society SE Florida, 1737 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Suite 140, Daytona Beach, FL  32117.
