ARMA “JEANNE” CHENOWETH
Arma “Jeanne” Chenoweth, age 90, of Edgewater, died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Lake Placid, New York, to George and Mary Collins Rollier, Jeanne moved to this area in 1980 from Long Island, New York.
A registered nurse, Jeanne served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict as a nurse. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach, and she was a former president of the Legion of Mary and she served on the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed reading, swimming, traveling and was an avid knitter. She also volunteered at Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater.
Survivors include her 4 children, Mark (Peggy) Chenoweth, of Kissimmee, Kyle Schebler, of Flanders, New York, Jamie Chenoweth, of New Smyrna Beach, and George Chenoweth, of Edgewater; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, in 1995; and 2 daughters, Carol Erickson, in 1996, and Mary Hoover-Chenoweth, in 2007.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Redemptorist Fathers officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery, Edgewater. Friends will be received from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16 at the funeral home.
