Richard Ralph Cotelesse

Richard Ralph Cotelesse, Sr., age 57, of New Smyrna Beach, died Monday, January 22, 2018 as the result of a vehicle accident.

Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Camillo Cotelesse, Jr. and Anne Marie Largo Cotelesse; Richard moved to this area 5 years ago from New Castle. Richard was the  founder of C’s Waffles restaurants since 1992, he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, devoted family man, loving father and grandfather. Richard was one of the most kindest, gentlest and friendliest person that touched the lives of everyone he met.  

Survivors include a daughter, Danielle Cotelesse, of New Smyrna Beach; 3 sons, Richard Cotelesse, of New Castle, PA, Joshua (Rebecca) Cotelesse, of Edgewater, and Louis Voto, of Edgewater; 9 grandchildren, Dasia, Kalee, Joshua, Jr., Isabella, Richard III, and Contessa Cotelesse, Kavon and Devonte Eggleston and Dlanie Evans; fiancé, Kim Chhay; a sister, Lorin (Christy) Marsolo, of Johns Creek, Georgia; 4 brothers, Ralph (Anna) Cotelesse, of Port Orange, Christopher (Marisol) Cotelesse, of New Smyrna Beach, Brian (Eileah) Cotelesse, of Boardman, Ohio, and Cory (Leah) Cotelesse, of New Castle, PA; his second mother, Patricia DiBacco and formerly married to Stacey DiBacco.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Camillo Jr. and Anne Largo Cotelesse; his brother, Camillo Contelesse III, and his second father, Andrew DiBacco. 

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach, with Father Patrick Quinn, T.O.R. officiating.  Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, at Settle-Wilder New Smyrna Beach chapel; with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m.
