Sandra Jean Roach

Sandra Roach, age 81, of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater.

Born in Buckhannon, West Virginia to Ralph and Mary Hinkle McCue, Mrs. Roach came to this area in 1993, from Winter Park. Very active in her community, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church of New Smyrna Beach, the Garden Club, P.E.O. Sisterhood, Sand Dollar Chapter Embroidery Guild, Red Hats Society, Ladybugs Parkinson’s Foundation, and The Questers. She was also the past president of the SE Volusia American Cancer Society and a founding member of Relay for Life. In her spare time, she enjoyed needlework, gardening, and shopping.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Eugene; son, Alex (Stacey) Roach, of Winter Park; two granddaughters, Lindsay and Alexandra Roach, both of Winter Park; sister, Marsha (Francis) Browning, of Lake Placid; niece, Michelle (Jason) Harvard, of Arcadia; and two nephews, Derek Taylor and Brandon (Whitney) Browning, both of Arcadia. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ralph McCue.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, New Smyrna Beach, with the Reverend Beverly Richardson officiating.
