Violet "Betty" Fisher

Violet “Betty” Fisher, age 78, of Oak Hill, died Thursday, July 14, 2017 at her residence.

Born in New Smyrna Beach, Mrs. Fisher was a life-long resident of this area. She was of Baptist faith and loved her family, dearly. Her favorite things were the river, bowling, and watching television; especially old western movies.

Survivors include her husband, Mark, of 22 years; four children, Cathy Boatwright of Oak Hill, Pam Warner, of Yorktown, VA, Mike (Nora) Davenport, of Oak Hill, and Janet Rushworth, of Oak Hill; two step-sons, Mark and Christopher Fisher; six siblings, Vialia Mae “Sister”, James, Bea, Glinnish, Jimmie, and Joyce; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Charles and Rick Davenport.

Services will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Fisher’s name to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 12502 USF Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-9411.
