Ward W. "Wes" Burbaugh

Wes Burbaugh, age 58, of Edgewater, died Saturday, May 6, at home.  Born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Wes came to this area as a youth.  A Navy veteran, he was a mortgage processor of Open Mortgage Company.  He was an expert pool player and member of the American Billiards Association.  He also enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, Ice Cold Beer, and his dog, Dale.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Reid Burbaugh; a son, Russell (Nikki) Burbaugh of Sanford; a daughter, Brittany Burbaugh of Lexington, North Carolina; a step-son, Jason (Jessica) Moore of Edgewater; a brother, Jerry (Holly) Burbaugh of Edgewater; three sisters, Margie (Mike) Bryant of Seymour, Tennessee, Sue Holland of Edgewater, and Belinda Toth of Dade City, Florida; two grandchildren, Eli and Eliot Kinley of Lexington, North Carolina.

A celebration of Mr. Burbaugh’s life will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with the Reverend Bonnie Ogie-Kristianson, VITAS Hospicecare, officiating. Those attending can come in casual attire, as recommended by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 2381 Mason Avenue, Ste. 100, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
