Paul H. Broadway, age 90, of Edgewater, Florida died peacefully Monday, April 11, 2016 surrounded by family.

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Paul served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, from 1943 until 1946. He returned to Chattanooga after the war and worked for the Wheland Foundry for 38 years retiring as an assistant superintendent in 1985. Paul and and his wife, Hazel, moved to Edgewater Florida in 1986 to enjoy retirement and to be closer to their children. He loved his family, his country, and spending time outdoors. Some of his interests included watching sports, Nascar racing and country music.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Hazel; 3 children, Charlie Broadway and his wife, Shelly, of New Smyrna Beach, Paula Broadway of Fort Lauderdale and Ann Perry and her husband, Andy, of Key Largo; a brother, Ross Broadway and his wife, Elberta; 4 sisters, Hilda Wallace, Jean Franks, Sue Williams and Joy Loane; 5 grandchildren, Carly McKimm and her husband, Shawn, Connie Haynes, Kris Hall and his wife, Rebecca, Matthew Perry and Chris Kizziah and his wife, Terue; 1 great-grandchild, Sasha Kizziah, and a large extended family. Paul was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Hall.

The memorial service will be Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 AM at Settle-Wilder’s New Smyrna Beach chapel.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Broadway’s memory to the local veterans charity of your choice.
