Wilfred J Pelletier Sr

Wilfred J. Pelletier Sr., age 78, of Edgewater, passed away Friday April 9, 2016 at Florida Hospital New Smyrna Beach.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Wilfred and Olive (Hamel) Pelletier on July 20, 1937.

He was a member of St. Gerards Mission Church, Hacienda del Rio Veterans group. Mr. Pelletier served in the U.S. Navy as a frogman, in todays service that would be a Navy Seal. He was a boy scout, Scout Master, a member of the Elks Club and police auxiliary both while in Winthrop, MA. Mr. Pelletier especially enjoyed shuffle board becoming one of the first 20 people to be inducted into the Northern District Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 yrs. Laura, 2 sons; Wilfred J. (Laura) Pelletier Jr., of Lancaster, MA, Gary (Lisa) Pelletier, of Winthrop, MA, 1 daughter; Dona Marie (Steven) Dowson, of Winthrop, MA, 1 grandson; Joseph Pelletier, of Winthrop, MA, 5 granddaughters; Jennifer (Carl) Kenney of South Boston, MA, Julie and Jessica Dowson, of Winthrop, MA, Amanda Pelletier, of Winthrop, MA, and Catherine Pelletier, of Lancaster, MA, 1 great-granddaughter; Grace Claire Kenney, of South Boston, MA, 2 sisters; Roberta Breden, of Edgewater, and Judith Cross, of New Smyrna Beach.

Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday April 12, 2016, at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach with The Redemptorist Father's officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
