Annette Carver

Annette Carver, age 78, of New Smyrna Beach, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach. 

Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, Annette came to the area in 1991 from Miami.  She was a member of Edgewater Alliance Church, enjoyed sewing and gardening.  Annette participated and was a member of the ladies motorcycle Drill Team.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed audio books as well. 

Annette loved her family dearly.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Richard; daughter, Pam (David) Farber of Miami; son, Rick (Maria) Carver of Edgewater; 2 granddaughters, Kimberly Farber of Miami, Franqui Carver of West Palm Beach: 2 grandsons, Cameron (Alayna) Carver of West Palm Beach,  Curt Farber of Miami; 2 sisters, Janet (Bob) Bezold of New Smyrna Beach and Cynthia McIntyre of Rockingham, North Carolina; brother, Bill (Carol) Frye of Rockingham, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.  Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Gordon Akeley and brother, Edward Akeley.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Edgewater Alliance Church, with the Pastor David Lane and the Pastor Kyle McQuillen officiating. Entombment will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Edgewater Alliance Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice.
