Chris Walsh Obituary

Chris J. Walsh, age 85, of Edgewater, died Monday, July 16, 2018 at his residence.
Born in New York, New York to Frank and Mary Kiely Walsh; Chris came to this area in 1994 from Queens, New York.

A former elevator mechanic, Chris was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Gerard’s Catholic Church, Edgewater Landing Boat & Fish Club and the Elks Club. He delivered food from St. Gerard’s to Gifts of Love and enjoyed volunteering within Edgewater Landing community. Chris was always the first to volunteer. He was a devoted husband and uncle. Chris enjoyed traveling, fishing, walking his dog and fed all his K-9 friends. He was devoted to his dog, Abby who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Linda; sister, Frances Hearn of Lavern, CA amd many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23rd at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church with the Reverend Francis Nelson, C.S.s.R. officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow Mass at Edgewater Landing Clubhouse.
