Donna Lynam Obituary

Surrounded by her loving family, Mrs. Donna Helen Lynam, 57, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away on 3 April 2019 at Halifax Hospice Edgewater. She is survived by her mother, Mira "Baba" Levanic but was preceded in death by her father, Paul Levanic, and her brother, Stephan Paul Levanic.  Born in Covina, California on 9 January 1962, Donna moved to Michigan, then to Florida at a young age where she grew up near the beach she loved.  After attending Spruce Creek High School, she married her favorite beach lifeguard, Donald Kirk Lynam, on 17 August 1985.

Donna was a homemaker and devoted mother to children who cherished her:  daughter Jessica Leigh Lynam-Thompson, married to Jeffrey Wayne Thompson, son Steven Kyle Lynam, son Connor Logan Lynam, betrothed to Autumn Kelsey Powell, and son Cameron Reese Lynam.    She was also adored as a grandmother to Olivia Rose Thompson and Rhea Liliana Grace Lynam who both called her their “Mimi”.

Her love for children extended to ministering to others living in and out of the Lynam household over the years, including Eric Alan Keleharakawa who joined the family.   She cared about and loved everyone and was like a “second Mom” to so many.

Donna had a fun, outgoing spirit. She loved the outdoors, walking her dog Lucius, fishing and going to the beach. Donna adored making special gifts for her many friends and family. She was passionate about crafts and decorating, making mermaids and Christmas trees glitter! Everyone knew Donna for her many beautiful Christmas trees she called “The Forest of Feelings”.  She collected beautiful teacups, loved tea parties and baked specially-themed cakes and cookies for events.  Donna loved having her daughter do her makeup. She also loved to dress up and – to their great delight - matched outfits with her granddaughters. She enjoyed gardening, planting cactus and succulents and arranging pink carnations with flair.

A true warrior, Donna fought ovarian cancer since 2011 and surpassed all expectations.  She became a genuine miracle, giving her family the precious gift of time. She will be missed beyond measure but her family and friends will have innumerable loving memories to keep and treasure in their hearts forever.
