Earl LaFlamme, Jr. Obituary

Earl A. LaFlamme, Jr, age 89, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, died Sunday, March 3 in New Smyrna Beach.  Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, Mr. LaFlamme came to New Smyrna Beach in 1995 from Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he owned Allyn and O’Donnell Realtors.
 
Active in his profession and community, Mr. LaFlamme was Past-President of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors; Past President and Trustee of the National Association of Realtors; twice Realtor of the Year in Holyoke;  Realtor of the Year for the State of Massachusetts; and an incorporator of the Peoples Bank of Holyoke.  A Mason, he was Past Master of William Whiting Lodge, A.F.&A.M. of Holyoke; and member of Melha Shrine Temple of Springfield, Massachusetts, and the Daytona Beach Shrine Club.  Other activities include Past President of the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club; and memberships in Western Massachusetts Beavers Club, American Red Cross, Jaycees, and the United Way in Holyoke, the Silver Sands Civic Association and Men’s Garden Club in New Smyrna Beach, and the Edgewater Union Church, Edgewater, Florida.  He also enjoyed golf, reading, and art collecting.  As a young man, he served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Era.  The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the special care provided by Fairgreen Assisted Living and Kindred Hospice. 
 
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; sons, Earl A. III and wife, Claudia, of Edgewater, Florida, Brian D. and wife, Diane, of Golden Colorado, Keith A. and wife, Maureen, of Belchertown, Massachusetts, and Lance E. of Bryson City, North Carolina; daughter, Ronna Wuttke of Bryson City; brother, Richard of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; sister, Joyce Bernier and husband, Arthur, of Holyoke; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald.
 
In accordance with Mr. LaFlamme’s wishes, services will be private.
