Elsa Louise Schiel Hill

Elsa Louise Schiel Hill, age 92 of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in Jacksonville. 

Born on July 8, 1925 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania to Charles F. and Miroslava Gregor Schiel.

Survivors include her son, Douglas Hill (Jody Fooshe) of Jacksonville, and her daughters, Jane (Mark) Barton of Sanford, and Christine (Jerry) Stump of Ocala. Four grandchildren, Lindsay Hitchcock of New Smyrna Beach, Christopher Barton of Smyrna, Georgia, Kendall Stump of Austin, Texas and Kyle Stump of Gainesville. One sister, Mildred Kadler, formerly of Hazleton, Pennsylvania and now resides in Drum, Pennsylvania. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Dr. Donald W. Hill, and her son Randall Richard and her granddaughter Aubrey Christine Stump.

She enjoyed family, sewing, thrifting, crocheting, and nutrition/exercise. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed making memories with her family. She loved unconditionally and will be greatly missed.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Palm Cemetery, Winter Park, with the Reverend Katrina Jenkins, Dean of Religious Life officiating. Calling hours will be at 11:00 - 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Settle-Wilder Chapel.
