Frances E. Sanderson, age 96, of Edgewater, died Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Born in Hamden, New York to Charles Arthur and Giddie Mericle Brown, Frances came to the area in 1984 from Hobart, New York.
Frances attended the Downsville Central School in Downsville, New York and graduated in 1942. She lived in the Delaware County area her entire life before moving to Florida. Frances married Earl Sanderson on September 4, 1971. An assembly worker, she was a member of the Moose Club, and Fireman’s Auxiliary. Frances enjoyed going to the Council on Aging in New Smyrna Beach, sewing, scrap booking, bingo, and reminiscing. She truly enjoyed taking pictures of her family and friends. Frances liked jigsaw puzzles and crosswords.
Survivors include her niece Vicki Noble of Delhi, New York; nephew Alan Brown of East Meredith, New York and her special caretaker, Mary Kuti of Edgewater. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 25 years, Earl; brother Wallace Brown and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral service at the graveside will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater with The Reverend Kennedy Jacobs, officiating.
