Kirk L. Lessig

Kirk Lessig, age 64, of Edgewater, died Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Florida Hospital New Smyrna.
Born in Findlay, Ohio to Raymond Jr and Margaret Currie Lessig in 1953, Kirk came to this area in 1988, from Millville, New Jersey.  He worked as a Lake County Marine Patrol Officer and was a member of the Edgewater Rotary Club. Mr. Lessig had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, fishing, boats, and cars. He could light up a room with his sense of humor and smile. Kirk's family meant the world to him and there won't be a day where he's forgotten. 
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jean; daughter, Megan Lessig, of Edgewater; three brothers, Alan R. (P. Sue) Lessig, of Bloomington, IN, Glen (Christine) Lessig, of Woodstock, CT, and Evan D. (Edlisa) Lessig, of Floyds Knobs, IN; aunt, Anne Visser, of Jackson, MI; two cousins, Mark Bryan, of Upper Black Eddy, PA and Lourie Arvy, of Jackson, MI; as well as several nieces and nephews.
