Lawrence F. Martin, age 88, of Edgewater, died Friday, February 22, 2019 at Parrish Medical Center, Titusville.
Born in Oak Hill, Lawrence was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a crane operator for Johnson Controls in Titusville. A member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Oak Hill; Lawrence enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, listening to music, working on vehicles, playing on the computer, and learning about American history. He loved life, the bible, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Marie; 4 children, Lawrence Martin, Jr., of Daytona Beach, Gail Martin, of Deltona, Cathy Martin, of New York, and Anthony Martin, of Daytona Beach; cousins, Viola Bochamp, Pat Smith, Lucille Equilla, Marilee Nesbitt, Sherman Martin, and Harvey Martin; brother-in-laws, Damon, Michael and Cape Theodore; sister-in-laws, Lucille Theodore and Mary Jean Haynes; and a large extended family and numerous friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2019 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Oak Hill, with Dr. Herbert McGraw, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday.
