Lois Cook Obituary

Lois L. Cook, age 85 of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Born in New Smyrna Beach, Lois was a lifelong resident.

A former waitress, Lois was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, and loved to read and sing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Obbie Patterson of New Smyrna Beach and Debbie Carroll of Orange City; 2 sons, James Michael Edwards and Harold Jefferson Edwards, both of New Smyrna Beach; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents General Franklin and Artie Ofelia (Hicks) Norman; husband of 30 years, Earl Jefferson (Lum) Edwards; brother, William Richard (W.R.) Norman and Harold (Toby) Norman and sister, Evelyn Norman Sutton.

Halifax Health Hospice attended to Lois the last few weeks of her life with loving care before she went to meet her maker. They were wonderful and treated her with kindness which gave her peace and a comfort to the family.
