Marian Lois Yelvington

Marian L. Yelvington, age 95, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, December 27 with family at her side.  Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Yelvington came to this area in 1952.  She was former owner of Tom and Marian’s Restaurant on the North Causeway.

 

Marian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and a former member of Smyrna Yacht Club, the New Smyrna Beach Shrinettes, Elks Lodge 1557 Auxiliary, and the New Smyrna Beach Municipal Golf Course.

 

Survivors include three sons, Don (Carroll) North of Diamond Head, Mississippi, Wayne (Linda) Yelvington of New Smyrna Beach, and Conway (Merrie) Yelvington of Sunset, South Carolina; a daughter, Ann Schif of Edgewater; brother, Olice Carr of Cumming, Georgia; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Tom North.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Dan Deig of Oceanway Church officiating.  There will be no calling hours.
