Robert E. “Bobby” Kingston, age 66, of New Smyrna Beach, died Friday, February 23, 2018 at Florida Hospital, Daytona Beach. Born in Bronx, New York to John and Eileen Byrne Kingston, Bobby moved to this area in 1967 from West Palm Beach.
For 17 years, Bobby was an owner of the family business, Pony Express in Edgewater, a plant manager for Rinker Materials, an outdoors man that enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and spending time in the mountains. Bobby was always tinkering and was able to fix anything. His true passions were racing, spending time with his family and watching his daughter ride horses and barrel race.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Susan; a daughter, Kristin Vincenzi and her husband, Nick, of New Smyrna Beach; 2 brothers, John, and his wife Cindy, of Wellington, and Richard, and his wife Anne, of Vero Beach; a sister, Joan Schimelman, and her husband Craig, of Atlanta, Georgia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, at Settle-Wilder’s chapel, with the Reverend Bob Hope officiating.
