Rosemary Lewis Harris, age 78, of Oak Hill, died Friday, September 13, 2019 at Advent Health, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Byron S. And Hildred L. Houser Lewis, Rosemary came to the area 5 years ago from Covington, Georgia.
A teacher’s aide, Rosemary was a member of Bella Vista Church; loved to shop and was very adventurous. She enjoyed living life to the fullest. A strong and independent woman, Rosemary loved helping people; singing and playing the piano.
Survivors include 3 children, Robin (John) Boggs, of Oak Hill; Linda (David) Ogle, of Louisville, Tennessee and Larry Nelms, of Punta Gorda; 3 siblings, David Lewis, of Knoxville, Tennessee; Barney (Carole) Lewis, of Maryville, Tennessee; and Susan (Darrel) Lewis, of Hampton, Georgia; 5 grandchildren, Clay (Jamie) Myers, of Edgewater; Matthew Sheppard, of Naples; Emily (Kevin) Ennis, of Russia; Lindsey Burnett, of Australia; and Felicia (Brandon) Green, of Newman, Georgia; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a large extended family. Rosemary will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Bella Vista Church, with Pastor John Marsh, officiating.
