William “Bill” K. Finkley, age 81, of Edgewater FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Halifax Health Hospice of Edgewater. Born in Old Forge, Pennsylvania to William and Hannah Biggar Finkley, Bill was a National Guard veteran.
A former truck driver, Bill was a member of Teamsters 326 in Delaware, member of Edgewater Union Church, and was the past commodore of Edgewater Landing boat and fish club. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, a great dad, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nancy; 3 children, Pamela Jean (Dennis) Hooper, of Newark, Delaware; Patti Jo (Randall) Graybeal, of Colora, Maryland; William Kenneth (Ria) Finkley Jr. of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren, Tara, Dennis “DP”, Brian, Rachael, Randy, Jolene, Matthew, and Cody; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Kayann (Rex) Glaspey of Glasgow, Delaware. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7th at Edgewater Union Church, with Pastor Rev. Ned Michael officiating.
