Allen Leon Walters

Allen Leon Walters, age 75, of Oak Hill, died Thursday, June 2, 2022 at his residence. Born in Whiteville, North Carolina to James Clarence and Annie Louise Coleman Walters, Allen came to the area in 2019 from Winter Springs, Florida.

A retired nuclear engineer, and a devout Christian, Allen loved fishing, bird watching, the ocean and especially his orange grove. Allen was a lifetime member of the VFW and very knowledgeable. He loved his family; a devoted husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his two daughters, Gwen (Allen) Reeves, of Oak Hill and Keeley Walters, of Edgewater; two grandsons, Spencer Reeves and Harrison Reeves, both of Oak Hill; and sister, Janet Wright, of Virginia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 52 years, Whitney; and brother, Joey Walters.

The service will be held June 18th at 11:00 am at his residence.
