Our beloved Angela Sharon, born May 2, 1954 passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday morning, December 26, 2023. She spent her last days at home for Christmas surrounded by her loving family - her adoring husband Chandler, children Barry (Crystal), Felicia (Ryan), and Stephanie (Chris), and her grandchildren Gavin, Auria and Sebastian, and her brother Stefan.
Angie, born in Germany, spent the first half of her life there when she met Chip and they made a family of 5 over the years. As the wife of an Air Force officer, she enjoyed family time, hosting parties, and attending formal gatherings. After Chandler’s retirement, the family moved to New Smyrna Beach, where she became a staple of our little beachside community as a travel advisor.
Angie was, amongst many things, a collector of fine friendships, an arbiter of good times, an unrivaled host, a world traveler, an amazing cook, a beach runner, a track star, a tennis player and a pilot.
She will always be a little voice reminding us to enjoy special people and special occasions; to show up on time and enjoy a good bottle of wine; to use the fine China; and to always laugh louder. Our dear Angie will be missed but never forgotten. “So yung kommen wir nie wieder zusammen.”
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association in her name.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 p.m. the following Saturday on January 6, 2024 at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, 1414 Art Center Blvd., New Smyrna Beach.
