Anthony Gentile Obituary

Anthony Gentile, age 81, of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Born in Syracuse, New York to Dominic and Rosina Pullano Gentile, Anthony came to the area in 1999 from Minneapolis, Minnesota after retiring as a Branch Executive from Kemper Insurance Company.  

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member of 174th fighter wing, Syracuse, NY, a volunteer at Sugar Mill Association, holding several different offices, an avid golfer and former member of Sugar Mill Golf Club. Anthony was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was always helping people.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary; 2 sons, Anthony (Terri) Gentile, and Richard Gentile; all of Minneapolis, MN; 2 daughters, Rosemary (John) Marciano, of New Smyrna Beach and Carol (John) Roos, of Minneapolis, MN; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Carie, Rosemary, Jacob, Jada and Sophie; brother, Russ (Sharon) Gentile, of Syracuse, NY. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dominic.
