Arliss Arlene (LaFine) DeYoung
October 16, 1933 - January 21, 2023
Arliss DeYoung passed away peacefully at home with her daughter Karla Kennedy and niece Amy Grace Longtin.
Arliss was born in Kankakee, Illinois to Adrian and Lena (Guttendorf) LaFine. She married Keith Alan DeYoung and had 3 children. Eric, Alec and Karla.
Arliss was a devoted Christian, writer, wonderful mother, sister, daughter, friend. She worked for the St. Anne Record Press, Kankakee News Journal, PNC Bank, Our Lady Of Victory (Citadel).
She loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, cross stitch, travel and long scenic drives. She gave to many charities.
Preceded in death were husband Keith, sons Eric and Alec, granddaughter Courtney, grandson Ryan, brothers Kenneth, Adrian (Swede), Marvin, Melvin and Dee.
Surviving immediate family- sisters, Joan Boudreau and Linda Grace, daughter Karla, daughter-in-
law Julie, grandson Eric.
As per her request, Arliss wanted a small gathering with family in the Spring.

Arliss’s name. This includes random acts of kindness. Just say, “Arliss made me do it!”
