Barbara Erickson Obituary

Barbara R. Erickson, age 87, of New Smyrna Beach, died Monday, November 23, 2020 at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Waterport, New York to Sidney A. And Kathleen E. Gibson Riches, Barbara came to the area in 1980 from Medina, New York.

An office manager for Bagwell Flowers, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach, volunteered for Faith House Angel, was a member at the Quail Hollow Social Club and P.O.R.T. Inc. Travel Club in Port Orange. Barbara was an avid reader and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include 3 sons, Jeffrey Houseman, Gerald (Lori) Houseman and Lynn Houseman, all of Medina, New York; daughter, Tamra Herman (special friend, Steven Morris), of New Smyrna Beach; 9 grandchildren, Christina, Joseph, Rebecca, Donna, Stacy, Jacob, Lucas, Jeremy and Corey; many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded by her parents, husband, Donald of 23 years; son, Richard Wienke; brother, Sidney; and sister, Beverly.

There are no services planned at this time.
