Bernadette A. Plourde

Bernadette A. Plourde, 72, of Edgewater, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Halifax Health Hospice Southeast Volusia Care Center.

Born in Caribou, Maine, Bernadette came to this area in 2005 from South Windsor, CT. She worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, was a member of NARFE (National Association of Federal Retired Employers, treasurer and secretary for Break-A-Way Camping Club, and member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #285. Mrs. Plourde enjoyed sewing, camping, crafts, and volunteering at Bert Fish Medical Center. She loved and cared for her family dearly and will sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Harvey; two sons, Kevin (Donna) Plourde of Ellington, CT and Keith Plourde of Edgewater; two grandsons, Dakota Plourde of Philadelphia and Easton Plourde of Old Orchard Beach, ME; sister, Lottie Bouchard of Caribou, ME; three brothers, Edmond (Florence) Cyr of Bangor, ME, Donald (Mary) of Greenville, ME, and Roland (Cathy) of Westbrook, ME; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date.
