Family was everything to mom and her love was the center of our family. We all knew that she would do whatever it took to keep us safe and secure. During WWII, while our oldest brother was still a baby, mom sold door-to-door and worked in a War Plant making torpedoes. She loved fishing with dad, but her greatest joy came when family and friends gathered in her home. She was a caregiver to her very core, even adding a room to her home to take in an elderly neighbor when abandoned by their family. Our family has been blessed to have had mom with us this long. She taught us by the example of her own life the grace of our Lord’s 2nd great commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” We are thankful that we have our Lord’s assurance that she is with Him now, realizing in truth that which was previously her faithful hope.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home. Private burial will follow the service. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
