Betty J. Hahn, age 85, of Edgewater, Florida died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Edgewater. She was born in Palm Harbor, Florida to Thomas and Julia M. Buckley Fleming. After residing in Avon Lake, Ohio for 55 years, Betty moved to Edgewater, Florida in 2017 to finally escape the cold winters.
Betty was employed as an Executive Secretary, prior to her retirement, however her job as a mother was always her priority. Betty was a member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church and enjoyed sharing her spiritual beliefs with others. In her younger years, Betty enjoyed bowling on a league at Aquamarine and Shoreway bowling alleys. She also spent many hours of her life, boating and traveling and she always cherished time spent with her family and friends. Although reserved in nature, Betty’s arms and ears were always open to provide motherly love to those in need.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Charles; 2 sons, Carl Hahn, of Huron, Ohio and Scott (Martha) Hahn, of Pine, Colorado; daughter, Julianne (Leonard Keene) Cribbs, of Edgewater; 3 grandsons, Philip (Holly) Hahn, Joshua Cribbs and Jason Cribbs; 2 granddaughters, Lindsey (Thomas) Wreathall and Andria (Roger) Hernandez; 3 great grandsons, Isaac, Oliver and Archer and great granddaughter, Ava. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Gloria Percy.
