Betty Jo Futch Obituary

Betty Jo Futch, age 86, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away peacefully Wednesday December 22, 2021 at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Born in New Smyrna Beach to George Lee and Annie Laurie Gilmore Middleton, Betty Jo was a lifelong Volusia County resident, residing most of her life in Port Orange.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Port Orange; worked in collections at Security First, Halifax Hospital and Teledyne. Betty Jo loved reading, going racing on Saturday nights in Barberville and watching NASCAR. She loved watching college football, especially the Florida Gators.

Survivors include her daughter, Kyra (Kenneth) Brown; granddaughter, Ashley Brown; and sister, Dale (Richard) Wagner . Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert Futch in 1998; brother, Walter Lee “Buddy” Middleton and sister, Virginia “Ginny” Kelly.

There will be no service.
