Obituary
Carmela Triolo, age 95, of New Smyrna Beach, died Monday, May 15, 2023 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Newark, New Jersey to Francesco and Teresina Cammarino Emanuel, Carmela came to the area two years ago from Hollywood, Florida.
A seamstress, she was a member of Nativity Catholic Church, and the Italian American Club, both in Hollywood, Florida. Carmela loved sewing clothing for her family, enjoyed gambling and was an avid stamp collector. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carmela will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, Peter (Robin) Triolo, of Pembrooke Pines; daughters, MaryAnn (Steven) Gamertsfelder, of New Smyrna Beach, and Jane (Manny) Marino, of Port Orange; seven grandchildren, Dennis, Andrew, Peter, Julia, Nicolas, Kate, and Michael; five great grandchildren, Camila, Lila, Lucas, AJ, and Adian; and sister, Frances. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carmela was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Peter.
Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Sacred Heart Catholic Church Redemptorist Fathers, officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
