Carol Jean Anderson

Carol Jean Anderson, age 92, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, died Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Lexington Place Assisted Living Facility, New Smyrna Beach.  Born in Canton, Ohio to Lawrence and Helen Alden Fowler, Carol came to the area in 2007 from Canton Ohio.

 

She managed Watson Elementary and Richville Elementary School kitchens, was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and was very involved with the church. Carol loved sitting on her 5th-floor waterfront condominium balcony watching countless dolphins swimming and frolicking in the Intracoastal waters down below. She was an avid reader, and loved to cook and bake for large family dinners. A truly lovely person, she adored her grandchildren and her 16 great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Jerry (Jody), of New Smyrna Beach, FL; daughter, Janet (Richard) Elliott, of Canton; 4 grandsons, Jeffrey (Sarah) Anderson, Todd (Melissa) Elliott, Chad (Jennie) Elliott and Mark (Lindsey) Elliott; granddaughter, Amy Miller; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Fowler; sisters, Roseanne Best and Joyce (Dave) Lewis. Also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins. Carol was preceded in death in 2014 by her husband of 67 years Earl W. Anderson.

 

There will be no services at this time.
