Carol Lynn Coffey, age 72, died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach. Born in Sullivan, Indiana to Richard Lash Sr. and Lois Strong Rutan Lash, Carol came to the area 6 years ago from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was a very active member of Coronado Community United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Deborah Circle Group at church and loved participating in the Silver Sneakers program. She volunteered at the Cor Meth boutique, The Marine Discovery Center, The Edgewater UMC Food Pantry and was a member of the “TNR” transport team. Carol was an animal lover, enjoyed traveling as well as music and dance.
Survivors include her daughter, Cherise Nicole Coffey, of New Smyrna Beach; brothers, Rick Lash, and David (Karyn) Strong; sister, Anne (Mark) Nesbitt; nephew, Chris (Renee) Lash; niece, Brittany (Ryan) Lash and a large extended family that will dearly miss her.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home; all are welcome. A Private Celebration of Life will be at Coronado Community United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Macon Armistead, officiating.
