Carol Joy Fennell

Carol Joy Fennell, age 79, of New Smyrna Beach, died Sunday, January 7, 2024 at her residence.
Born in Peoria, Illinois to Paul and Leta Fraughm Hill, Carol came to the area in 2004 from Houston, Texas.

A fish monger in the grocery industry, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband and loved spending time with her children and her family. Carol enjoyed good food and playing video games on her phone.

Survivors include her daughter, Leta “Joy”; son, Jay Allen Fennell; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews; and grandchildren, Lance Allen Fennell and Tahnee Marie Fennell. Also survived by her precious dog, “Peanut”, and grandkitties, Missy and Sissy. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Mace Allen Fennell in 2011 and siblings, Janet Threet and William Hill.
