Carol Jeanne Leichty Fanelli Raines

At the age of 90, Carol Jeanne Leichty Fanelli Raines passed away from natural causes on Tuesday, July 12. Thankfully, this happened quickly with little suffering. Carol was the sweetest, most gentle woman. People easily adored her. She unconsciously modeled true grace and decency throughout her 80 years as an active resident of New Smyrna Beach. She devoted her entire adult life solely to the care of her family. Those who hold her dear grieve the enormity of their loss, but Carol’s profound, unconditional love will forever remain a source of brightness to them. May she rest in peace and glory.

 

Carol was predeceased by her beloved husbands Louis James Fanelli (1960) and William Ray Raines (2020) as well her grandson James Louis Fanelli (2017). She is survived by her children James, Barbara, and John; by her grandchildren John Jr., Zachary, Jessica, and Roselyn; and by her great-grandchildren Olivia, Cooper, and Brooks.  

 

Funeral service will be 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home. Friends will be received beginning at 6:00 p.m.
