Cecil R. Bosworth Jr.

Cecil R. Bosworth Jr., age 84, of New Smyrna, died Tuesday May 24, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice, Ormond Beach. Born in Ravenswood, West Virginia to Sylvia and Cecil R. Bosworth Sr., Cecil and his family came to the area in 1969 from Ohio.

 

A diesel mechanic for New Smyrna Utilities, he was a member of Servants’ Quarters Fellowship and enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. Cecil loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

 

Survivors include four daughters, Jane (Thomas) Curtan, of St. Augustine; Jackie Bosworth, of Maryville, Tennessee; Rae Ann (Bill) Bennett, of New Smyrna Beach; Linda (Chuck) Sawyer, of New Smyrna Beach; three grandsons, Charlie Sawyer, David (Chrissy) Moskovits and Zachary Sawyer; three granddaughters, Kayla (Kasey) Kubiak; Kelsey (Matt Lawrence) Moskovits and Colleen Curtan; six great grandchildren; and sister, Liz Pierce. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 64 years, Juanita.

 

There will be no services.
