Chong Robinson, age 78, of Mims, died Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 at St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care, Titusville. Born in Seoul, South Korea to Huijo and Dongji Kang Hwang, Chong moved to this area in 2001 from Oviedo.
An accountant and bookkeeper; she enjoyed cooking, hosting dinner parties, traveling, going on cruises, gardening, and touring in the RV.
Survivors include a son, Michael Robinson, of Auburn, Alabama; three grandsons, Gabriel Robinson, Cayden Robinson, and Ethan Robinson, of Opelika, Alabama; a sister, Eunok Hwang, of Korea; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Chong was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James, in 2024; 3 brothers, Yunmuk Hwang, Hynmuk Hwang, and Kilyoung Hwang.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, with the Pastor Pat Leverington, First Baptist Church of Mims, officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday, January 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, 406 South Orange Street, New Smyrna Beach.
