Christopher Guidry Obituary

In Loving Memory of Christopher Bayard Guidry

Christopher Bayard Guidry, a cherished resident of Edgewater, Florida, departed this world on November 21, 2023, at the age of 58. Born on July 5, 1965, Chris's life was a testament of love, resilience, and the enduring spirit of a man who faced life's challenges with unwavering strength.

Growing up in Titusville, Chris excelled in tennis, developing a strong work ethic and a positive outlook that defined his character. His vibrant energy and sociable nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Chris was not only a devoted father but also a cherished brother, son, uncle and friend. His impact on the lives of those around him was immeasurable, and his memory will forever linger in the hearts of those who loved him.

Chris proudly served his country in the United States Army, a chapter in his life that instilled in him values of discipline, duty, and honor. His time in the military was a testament to his commitment to something greater than himself, and it became an integral part of the foundation upon which he built his life. A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Chris found solace and joy in the freedom of the open road. His love for motorcycle riding was a defining aspect of his life, bringing him a sense of adventure and camaraderie that enriched his journey.

In October 2021, Chris faced an unimaginable tragedy when he became the victim of a violent attack that resulted in a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Chris approached the medical challenges that followed with courage and determination, inspiring all who witnessed his resilience.

Chris's journey was one marked by strength and hope. He leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and the enduring ability to find light in the darkest of moments. Chris is survived by his loving daughter, Chryssha Guidry, his devoted brother, Stephen Guidry, caring sister, Tami Guidry O'Dell, his beloved mother, Sonya Guidry, along with five nephews and a niece. Together, they will hold onto cherished memories. Chris was preceded in death by his father Mark Anthony Guidry, his godfather Barry Guidry, and grandparents Harvey and Lois Baker.

A memorial service to celebrate Chris's life will be held on Saturday January 13th 2024, at the American Legion Post 17 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida from 12-4pm. May he rest in peace, his memory is forever etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
