Clyde Russell, Jr., age 93, of Edgewater, died Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Carbondale, Illinois to Vesta Marie Clutts and Clyde W. Russell, Sr., Clyde, Jr. came to the area in 2014 from Ocala.
He was a member of Indian River Baptist Church; enjoyed fishing, eating, and especially dessert. Clyde always kept up with current events and loved watching the news. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Bonnie; daughter, Tina Russell of Macon, Georgia; 3 step daughters, Peggy (Cal) Ruffin, of Jackson, Georgia; Gayle (Jim) Kennedy, of Inlet Beach, Florida and Suzi Howard, of Warner Robins, Georgia; step son, Bud (April) Howard, of Marianna, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Jane Henault, of Seffner, Florida; niece, Valerie Henault, Seffner, Florida and nephew, Bob (Traci Tennell) Henault, of Odessa, Florida. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Dr. Keith Taylor, Indian River Baptist Church, officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Clyde’s final resting place will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida.
