Dale Lewis Richardson, age 76, of Daytona Beach Shores, died Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Jackson, Michigan to Howard Raymond and Berna May Higgins Richardson, Dale came to the area in 1959 from Michigan.
A United States Navy veteran, serving for 26 years, Dale was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, Port Orange, FL; Emmaus Lutheran Church, Orange City, FL; Redeemer Lutheran Church, Winter Park, FL; ELCA Mission Builders, Laborers For Christ, and the German American Society, Casselberry, FL. He enjoyed all forms of dancing, especially polka and ballroom. Dale loved camping tremendously, and it was a big part of his life. He was an awesome golfer, 200 yards was easy for him. Dale was a volunteer for Laborers for Christ and Mission Builders and traveled the United States with the mission building churches. He worked with Lutheran Disaster in New Orleans, LA after Hurricane Katrina.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Luise Richardson; 2 daughters, Christie Barnes and Melissa (Matthew) Oliver; 5 grandchildren, Gabriel and William Morrissey; Erin and Colin Barnes and Brooke Morrissey; 2 great granddaughters, Sienna and Eleanor Morrissey; and 3 siblings, Stewart Richardson, Juanita Richardson Butler and Rodney Richardson.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on 16th day, of June, at All Saints Lutheran Church, Port Orange with the Pastor Kari Niedermaier, officiating. Interment will follow 2:00 p.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US 1, Mims, FL.
